At Final Battle 2013, three Ring of Honor veterans came together to rid the company of returning stars they believed had used the company as a stepping stone. Roderick Strong, Jimmy Jacobs and BJ Whitmer would become known as The Decade. They would seek and destroy as many victims as possible.
In December of 2014 “The Bully” BJ Whitmer would take it upon himself to kick Roderick Strong out of the group. He would also take it upon himself to force his then “young boy” Adam Page in as an official member. Jimmy Jacobs, the devious mastermind, remained befuddled and silent. He wondered, however, how he was being left out the decision making process. Whitmer has also developed issues with with Jacobs following the Code of Honor recently. This has lead to some real visible tensions.
This past weekend things came to a head. Check out the recap with special words from both Whitmer and Jacobs:
Whitmer and Jacobs agreed that brothers fight and that’s exactly what they will do! On Friday Night March 27, 2015 both men have agreed to fight it out! Both men recognize that visibility of Supercard of Honor and have decided this is the place to physically resolve their issues.
Could this be the end of The Decade? Could this be a first of its kind resolution to built up frustration? Is physicality the answer?
It’s the insidious genius, Jimmy Jacobs against The Bully of The Decade, BJ Whitmer at Supercard of Honor IX. Do not miss out on this potentially explosive match up.

The Decade came out and Jimmy stated that Ring Of Honor was "the house that the decade built" and went on to say that the young boys (Adam Page & TD Thomas) wasn't catching on quick enough. Which brought out Adam Pearce, who defeated TD Thomas with a Piledriver.
Following the loss, BJ slaped TD. Jimmy says this is a "learning experience". "You keep falling short. Fell for oldest trick". Tells The Decade to leave. Says he’s a crazy guy. Talks about Ciampa. He invented crazy.
-Jimmy cuts Tommaso's entrance off with dive. Then began to choke him with his jacket. Ciampa recovers and goes for suplex on exposed floor. Jimmy counters with sleeper but gets dropped on the ramp. Ciampa followed that with a running knee to Jimmy at the barricade..
Finally in the ring. Looks like they forgot to ring the bell. Jimmy with a headlock sleeper. with Jimmy still holding the sleeper, Ciampa climbs the ropes and hits his version of White Noise.

In professional wrestling, loyalty is hard to come by. Alliances are formed only to be destroyed weeks later, partners betray each other every day over championships...and there's no real reward for loyalty. At least, that's the philosophy of The Decade right now. Jimmy Jacobs and Roderick Strong are each former tag team champions. They have weathered the storm as others have come and gone - using ROH as a stepping stone, if you listen to The Decade.
Recently, the tag team scene got an injection of new blood with the much anticipated addition of "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian. In their very first ROH match at BEST IN THE WORLD, Daniels and Kazarian challenged reDRagon for the ROH World Tag Team Titles. More recently, at FIELD OF HONOR, they took on reDRagon for the titles once again - and can blame The Decade for contributing to their loss.
Jimmy Jacobs was extremely vocal at FIELD OF HONOR protesting the fact that Daniels & Kazarian have received two title opportunity while he and his partner have had none. Nigel McGuinness has repeatedly defended his decision to award Daniels and Kazarian these matches: they had already established themselves as one of top tag teams in the world - regardless of where they previously plied their craft - and have beaten proven ROH contenders such as The Young Bucks in Philadelphia.
But that wasn't good enough for The Decade.
So at FIELD OF HONOR, they decided to interfere in the World Tag Team Championship match between Daniels and Kazarian and reDRagon. While this is always open to debate, the overwhelming opinion is that the challengers had the titles won before The Decade hit the ring. What seemed to be a rivalry over professional loyalty just became brutally personal.
Now these two teams will have the chance to battle each other in an ROH ring! On September 6th at ALL STAR EXTRAVAGANZA, "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels and his partner Frankie Kazarian will take on The Decade as represented by Jimmy Jacobs and Roderick Strong! In terms of experience and accomplishments, these are four of the most established athletes on the entire ROH roster. You don't want to miss this! And you can see it LIVE both in Toronto and on iPPV!

A familiar face returns on DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR weekend! In Milwaukee and Chicago Ridge, ADAM PEARCE will be in action - at the special request of The Decade. Roderick Strong, BJ Whitmer, and Jimmy Jacobs have spent months spreading the idea that they've been disrespected and under-appreciated in ROH. As the backbone of the company, THEY should be getting title shots and opportunities - not a bunch of young upstarts who haven't earned it yet. Most of the ROH roster has stood up for themselves and their own accomplishments.
But other young members of the ROH roster have been more easily influenced. Tadarius Thomas and Adam Page have aligned with The Decade, serving as their water fetching, towel carrying "young boys" and occasional tag partners. Both have had moments where they seemed frustrated with their treatment, but in the end they swear they're happy to learn from their veterans and do things "the right way."
Apparently, that's not enough for The Decade.
BJ Whitmer and Jimmy Jacobs have been less than happy with the "progress" of Thomas and Page. According to them, the young boys aren't learning proper respect fast enough. More importantly, they are disgusted by the flashes of frustration slipping through the cracks in The Decade. In the eyes of Whitmer and Jacobs, merely associating with these ROH veterans is a privilege for Thomas and Page - and they aren't being shown the proper gratitude.
So they called up an old friend: Adam Pearce.
The 5 time NWA Champion knows a thing or two about old school, old fashioned traditions. This weekend, he will take on each Decade young boy one-on-one! On August 22nd, Tadarius Thomas steps into the ring with Pearce. And in Chicago Ridge, Adam Page gets his shot at "Scrap Iron"! What's going through the minds of Thomas and Page right now? Is it more respectful to bow your head and take whatever Pearce dishes out? Or is this finally their chance to stand up from themselves and fight back?
